      2.0 is the new version of the SUITE with NDO and DDO renamed to DDO Painter and NDO Painter respectively. The legacy versions are available from the website for download. :)http://quixel.se/dev/ddo (scroll to the bottom).

      This is true for Cryengine and UDK at least. For actual work, if you have 2 textures that are this size, and their respective objects are usually on screen simultaneously, it would be a good idea to pack the two into one square texture.

      why not take the degree, they are a pretty internationally well respected school and go for a job elsewhere?, seriously if I had the time, money energy and could get in to Hertfordshire uni id jump on it in a second.

      Reverted back to Maya 2010 after using 2011 and 2012, seems as if updating the interface to be black totally fucked over the performance in every respect. Too slow and painful to use for modelling now.

      Nothing special, standard diffuse, spec, gloss and normal maps. Dots do have a specular (they are respecting the light effect) and the dirty parts aren't shiny. Looks closely, the answer is all in that picture.

      London based. AAA titles in development that you can get behind. Respectful of employees, no exploitation. Good working conditions. Security, no unrealistic expectations that leaves people out of work after. If only.

      If you're going for current-generation specs, then UE3 of course. It has plenty of documentation, easy to get(buy ut3 or gears) and is widely used and respected throughout the industry as one of the top engines available.
