I know you submitted already, but I find it a bit too flat on the front, you could have the mouth detail and the one between the brows actually being extrude out, or that is just a skin over a existing asset?
Is not just you, Cinema 4D has a shortcut similar to that, which is CTRL, you can extrude Edges and Faces while holding it down and moving the axis handle in one or multiple directions, it works for Points too, but they will be duplicated instead.
The painting is definitely looking much better! Nice job Have you tried messing with the sil yet? Maybe extruding the wrapped cloth? Oh and personal preference but when you display the model can you remove the grid?
Okay im stuck on the proboolean part, i have the interior and exterior, i have the windows extruded in a bit past the the interior, and i just get invalid boolean errors, and i cant delete the proboolean bit :S
well, those tutorials helped......i'm getting started on a snail. just for the heck of it. and, by the way, i KNEW that wings 3d was polygonal, but what i meant is that I never used to extrude to model, just edit the current vertices.
Sounds like you should just use dynamesh booleans for something like that. Alternatively you can use SliceRect (but with a circle) to create a separate polygroup and delete it or extrude it inward.
Everything they've shown so far regarding modeling process looks like just series of extrudes. I wonder how vertex tweaking will look like with their transform gizmo.
Thanks! For the complex models like the rifles, about 4-5 days for the base model, and 5-8 hours for attachments. The Webley logo is floating geometry that was hand traced and then extruded;
100% Substance Designer. No modeling, No Sculpting. Rendered in Marmoset. Trying to push whats possible with the shape extrude node, and minimizing clipping as much as possible. Hope you all enjoy.
