Here's that content I mentioned: I'm sort of tweaking the rules and making my towers and inhibitors for the Twisted Treeline, since the rules don't specifically state you HAVE to make your towers for Summoner's Rift. The thought behind the designs is that in the Shadow Isles, there dwell countless souls of the land's…
I figured people would find it useful. I've discovered some odd things while browsing that site, like one of the US President's wives having a pet raccoon that she carried about and another US President's children having a pet rooster with one leg. Weird but interesting stuff I never knew about. There are some crazy things…
I think the decals you have now work pretty well in a few places, in some areas they look a bit too big and out of place, in particular the light concrete trim. Try scaling the decals down a bit and maybe add some geometry of chunks scattered here and there.
I believe APB uses a system similar to the decal editor in Forza so an artist might of created the star decal but someone else chose to randomly stamp them on the model. It also looks like his bracelet is missing it's alpha channel, so mad props to the marketing team!
Another update. Some test with speed tree Now I am trying to figure out if it is possible to get to this level of details with just vertex painting and no tessellation. If not my plan is to use decals. So I would have a base grey plaster material and on top, I would add decals with damaged plaster which would be tileable…
I can not understand, maybe I'm doing something wrong... on primitives all the cool but when a heavy object... delay is a minute or a half. http://prntscr.com/d27mbj this object is delay a 20min. Resize Texel density is very huge. my PC: cpu intel Xeon E5 2650 + 2680 40gb ram gpu asus GTX 1070
Thanks for the info. I wasn't 100% happy with the deferred mesh decals either when I tested them last time, unfortunately that topic doesn't seem to be important for Epic at the moment. What kind of decals are you using on the final version now? I don't fully understand that part, do you mind explaining it a bit more?
Sampson, check out the line 6 dl-4 for delay, a bit pricey but its a nice pedal. The boss delay is nice but the line 6 has loop ability which is cool if u have a use for it. also picked up one of these a year ago, its pretty sweet [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cdmqf0plnI[/ame]
thanks so much everyone, it really helps... I am making trim sheets first time with decals too, and i am building a georgian interior. Is it advised to mix up all the different objects together so you have doors, windows, walls with different textures applied or do you recommend splitting them up so you have a trim sheet…
