Like what you have so far. I agree with JoshVanZuylen some type of support for the roof will help the scene sell it a bit more. I'm guessing you'll be adding those in the block out. But as of right now its looking really good. Textures are really nice. It gives me a TF2 vibe to the scene. Keep it up. Cheers, Kevin
DB yea I'm pretty much the same way. Portal2 is the most recent game I've finished (last weekend) and that came out in April, I think that is as close as I've gotten to hitting the "hot spot" after a release in a long long time. There are games that I'll play just for fun but the majority of the time, the time investment…
@Fragged: Currently the development is not going very fast, doing some other schoolstuff and freelance work next to it. But I will finish it, I have to xD And yes I'll add a lot more stuff, it's still very wip. I'm also experimenting with vertex colours to get some variation in the scene (Moss,Stains,Rust) @Acumen:…
I agree the lighting looks weird. Of course in a 3d enviro you're always gonna have 'bad angles'. But for a static shot you can achieve a 'perfect angle'. Right now it's really bright and suggests daytime, but your skybox suggests night time. Also, seems like the light is coming from right behind the player, which makes it…
Good observation on the nostril and lips. However you're going into details too soon, underlying skeletal structure are still missing. You will need to introduce them with stronger planes and angles. Take a look at an example here, you can clearly tell where the bones are. The skin details should only be done after this…
The idea is that people don't want the game to devolve into TF2. Even if I don't have to buy or use it, others can, which does impact the visuals of the game, even if they're friends or enemies. Sticking to a theme is pretty important, and there is plenty of room for impractical items for the sillier heroes such as Pudge…
