You picked the Smurfs? Reeally? Ugh, I'm so disappointed. :) I think it looks good so far, it sort of looks like the TF2 style of texturing though. By the way, were you happy with the results you got from that worn edges tutorial you found?
If you are still open, would you be willing to be paid after launch? We (Krypnoda Studios) is looking for low-poly 3d artists for a 2.5 rogue like dungeon game, the first in a series of games (hopefully). Your art looks just right, it would look awesome in a game like this! Check out our company's newly started site shown…
i've been making player studio stuff for planet side since it started. its a way to make a little bit of cash ,not even a fraction of what i hear the dota an tf2 folk are making, but its a lower bar and higher chance of acceptance. Its not super fulfilling artistically since you can not bake normal's or even really texture…
Yep, that was the one on the left. It's since been replaced by an 23" Dell mid-range IPS panel, which made an insane difference. I think I'm done buying TFT LCDs... you can even see the brown color grading on the old Samsung in that first image.
I've just clocked Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. Got it from Abandonia.com, works brilliantly, no FMV though. So I had to youtube them. Will be playing through the Soulreaver 1 and 2 next on PS2. Played through them all when they where originally released. I'm just reliving the past as usual. Also play a ton of TF2.
Hmm, this is very strange indeed. I just tested it in 2009, 2011 and 2012 x64 and they all work fine. Did you guys enable disable Nitrous or Gamma LUT, anything like that? Did you guys fillout all the slots, including the Ramp map with the TF2 texture that is provided? Mind posting an image with the material next to the…
@MadnessImport that's great to hear. Linode's performance is one of the reasons we like them so much. We've also used them for minecraft and tf2 servers with good results. The improvements could also be a location related, we moved the servers from an east coast datacenter to a dallas one.
Yeah, I wouldn't want it to become a hand holding project. However... ...I really like this idea. There's a lot of pitfalls to it though. Hand-holding Laziness Busyness Lack of clear direction Etc. Whatever is done has to be done to no consequence, as little as that makes your contribution feel. That way if someone doesn't…
Thats pretty interesting for TF2 never knew that and maybe if you did a quick line sketch in photoshop before painting over it could save some time. I am going to crank something out with the help of painter friend in the next couple of weeks and see how it goes
Thanks for the reference Dustin. I really like the reflections in that first shot. I'm not sure I'll be able to replicate it though. I'm not that great with shaders in UDK which is why I've just been editing Epic's water right now. I haven't done much on this scene lately. Been doing more TF2 items and working on mods but…
