Didn't really liked the hair. So since today Epic released an example I swapped out my hair with the one from the example. Gotta say it looks way better!
I've not run into LODs using different textures so far (other than mip maps). It's fairly common for the shader to be swapped out for a cheaper/simpler version on lower LODs though.
i guess the reason i had the sway was because of the toy figure i was thinking about worried about proportions after i baked, but it would probably be more beneficial before?
Sorry for the snag in updating [ for those of you whom care :p ]. I have been working in UDK and I should have a rough layout with everything in there by tomorrow. Take care all!
Thanks a lot for the response. I´m modeling a character for a videogame (a swat guy) and i´m having tons of problems doing the wrinkles on the pants. Not my best day :P thanks!
Hahahaha Componented character hell. Welcome to the ever growing expectation of gamers that everything on their character needs to be able to swap out with a completely new asset everytime they equip something new in the inventory.
I'll have to check when I get home, but it's definitely not the free one. As of a few monthes ago, it was their best, highest rated model. I made sure to snag a good one.
I dont use unreal but there's a shadergraph. You just connect little behavior boxes. It doesnt require any coding skills or shader knowledge to just swap channels around. But just repack the maps the unreal way if it's easier.
Recently, Ive gotten in the habit of playing a couple rounds of Quake: Live (Link) during lunch at work, and whenever I can snag a couple mins to myself on the weekends. Old game, I know, but still fun. Anybody else playing? I go by Mechadus on there also. -N!
Do you know a website that shows random photo ( human) for life drawing, that automatically swap the photo after several seconds, or mins. some people showed me before but i forgot the link thanks in advance :D
