Can anyone reccomend me a cool character lighting tutorial? Doesn't matter what app it's for, as I'm guessing I can replicate it in Maya (just as long as it doesn't involve using Vray or any of it's lights).
Anyone willing to share tips and tricks for when you're working to replicate a likeness, be it from a concept or real-life example? Wouldn't mind some tips towards this sort of stuff.
might as well post the update. just replicated the quick block out poly hairstyle with blender hair excuse the terrible topo on the mesh, its a really old model :)
Reference examples help a ton, in my experience. Start building a library of lighting examples you really like. Then try to replicate them in your software of choice.
Ah I see, Thanks for the response. I think it's important to get a similar environment setup and good surface normals for UE4 to replicate the behaviour in the Substance renderer then!
