His signature ee-3 blaster as well as a better view on some of the props. Polypainted model, I'll be texturing him in substance painter so this is just rough color.
Also, polypaint is basically just vertex color. If they were to add a full renderer, they'd have to also add a full material system. It's quite a bit of work.
It'd be nice if there was a way to store and retrieve data for subdivided vertices. Could discard textures entirely and use vertex colour with subdivision. (like how Polypaint is in ZBrush)
very solid and inspiring work, also, if I can give a crit, I find the mood colors and expression of the face on the highres polypaint even more interesting!
Finished sculpting the armor-finally! Now I'll go over it and do the final polypaint! There's only one pincer right now because it's easier to sculpt that way...
Thanks Shrike and Skylebones :) The initial idea came from oni, so credits for the "verdammt gute idee" go to him. Almost there with the hires, started polypainting and retopology.
