6 polys... done! Some 80 poly trees. Seriously though, your professor is smoking crack. No one goes that low, unless they are only seen from a long distance. 600 to 3000 is more like it.
A Added some colour for sky background make a robo design filtered the robot to make it more 70's/80'S added filter to background, make bubbles and a dark son/moon and a bubble at the robot
I tend to use cm for personal work and decimetres for work stuff - 1/10th scale seems work work well for capital ship size objects. 800 metres in-engine is excessive, 80 is doable.
I used SuperAntiSpyware (which is free) the other day and it did a pretty good job at removing the problem i was having. now I'm using kaspersky antivirus as my security software which was 80 bucks
good luck. doing a few props here and there is easy, but like 80% of teams trying to do stuff like this fall apart due to communication and organization. Keep it small and set yourself series of short goals.
Hello, I got interviewed by the website 80.lv Here I created somes gifs and explained a bit my workflow ,Go have a look! Also some wip shots, still working on vegetation!
Also figured I'd post this. You can see the array a wee bit more. But more importantly, you see the two cool cats who finished kitbashing this thing in the late 70s early 80s
Yeah, I understand the perks of doing a pocket. I'm making a level, I don't have a deadline, and it won't be called "done" at 80%. This is a WIP, and I may not ever finish it, and that's okay. It's the study that's important to me.

Showed this to a friend this afternoon. We grew up together on the late 80's cartoons and the comics. His response was classic... "There are very few appropriate places for Michael Bay's dick, and my childhood IS NOT ONE OF THEM."
