I had a hard time matching the texture on this to comic coloring style. I went for a cell shaded look on the character, but used gradients on the time machine.
not using the comic for reference? sure, it's before she starts wearing the predator armour, but the short dreadlocks look better than the long ones they went with on that figure
I'd drop the comic sans gag. It's amusing, but it's also hideous and it's not productive -- it says you know what's ugly, but not that you can make things beautiful.
