Like astro said, don't get discouraged. All I gotta say is 8 months....8....months... Especially with this economy, its going to be a fucking jungle out there.

While playing with image modes in Photoshop CS5, I lost my ability to export a Targa in any mode but 8-bit. Now I have the ability to save as a Targa only when my PSD file is in 8-bit mode, but that destroys the image entirely. Here are my normal maps: As you can see, the 8-bit normal is unusable. It's not even a normal…
Anyone know where I can find an importer for Max 8 that will allow me to import maps from Doom 3? Ive Googled to no end and the only reference to such an importer leads to a dead link.
Can't forget about 8-Bit google maps! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rznYifPHxDg"]Google Maps 8-bit for NES - YouTube[/ame] Also regular google maps has been 8-bit-ified too :). On google street view just go to the top right and click 'Quest'
For a map like that I'd tend to divide it up into a power of 2 (ie 8 rows and 8 columns) since that's more consistent for game art usage. 10 is a rather odd number to divide a 256x256 map by, for example. It's not a huge deal, but I think I'd get more use of a map that goes to 8 or 16.
I thought it was pretty hilarious! Also the 8/10 thing is kind of a meme now. People reviewing something saying they love the hell out of it, and the final score is an 8/10 :)
Is it correct that IPackThat uses only about 20-30% of a 8 core CPU? I put it on 16 threads and 8 threads and it seemed to make little difference in CPU utilization.
