I would love an answer to this - If I can use this like polypaint but with more masking control, multiple map support, and with photoshop brushes, that would be wonderful.
Finished the polypaint and fur cards! I've never done fur/hair this way, but it's exciting to learn a new technique! Gotta work on the fur texture next!
Painter can bake an ID map and one of the options in there is vertex color, which I believe is how polypaint is saved in OBJ files. That should work...
Pretty much done with the polypainting stage, the texture will be improved in photoshop. Decided to keep her blonde. Next step will be retoping for the low poly. Shaded / Flat
