a sudden circle shape cut/ bevel/ extrude on the hair part seems quite weird...for me i would make a shape/ line flow follow the hair line to make whole thing smoother ;)
Looking good so far man... this will be great once it's done! One thing I noticed in comparison to the ref is the arches on the right. They are recessed and tapering inward where you have them extruded outward.
Thats kind of a round-about way of making a bowl. Selecting all the faces in the hemisphere and extruding them would be a lot easier. Instead of merging edges you could also try merging verticies.
ok, well, even with tiling textures, I've individually unwrapped each plank and made sure it lined up with the texture, so I hope that's good lol. well, each plank that was extruded at least
So with the discard strips is the idea to first add an Edit Poly mod and delete away the mirrored polys, second extrude the open edges a bit, third cast your rays, then fourth delete the mod?
@Millenia thank you for making that video! one question, when you do all your transforms and operations (such as edge extrude) - preserve UVs is always on?
you have to switch the tabs at the top of it over to the polyCylinder#. And construction history would be the list that forms in the INPUTS (bevel, extrude, ect) as you do work to it
Alright, thanks :) I looked at some wire frames here and there. By the way, is it very common to extrude some groups of polys to give definition to muscle groups?
