looks good dude, next time give 3D coat a shot if you are gonna do handpainted stuff. also good topology, there are few places that can be tweaked, but good for the most part.
It is really good!!! Oh I want to learn to do handpainted stuff like this! Do you have any advice or any tutorial I could follow? What is your workflow? Congratulations!
I disagree that it needs either more realism or more handpainted of a look. I like where its at right now. It feels like its real but at the same time it gives it a fantasy aesthetic.
@NikhilR - Thanks! I love playing with lighting contrasts. @Avenger84 - handpainted textures are so much fun, definitely worth practicing! A rather concerned looking fish got his texture today...
wow that's cool and beautiful texture, im curious about your workflow. did u use high poly to low poly bake for ambient or just handpainted all along? ty for inspiration
Thats very good for a start, i cannot critique it becouse i am myself very bad at handpainted textures, but keep them up and dont be dissapointed , its a very good start
Maybe depends on the art style... If you're aiming for realistic, then PBR all the way. If it's a stylized asset, or super lowpoly, then you can texture it differently. (handpainted, flat color + highlight, etc etc)
Handpainted.... means painting your textures by hand, only textures.... no zbrush, no high rez baking, just straight up PAINTING BY HAND in 3d coat or PS... ok back to work now
Cool easy to use site, nice art, looks good. I especially like the Cave Prototype. I do agree that the font is hard to read. Also, for "An handpainted dungeon" shouldn't it be "A" instead?
I'm modelling a bust from a fanart that my friend made of Crimson Peak. It's very early yet but I'm thinking of doing handpainted textures for it. Any feedback is appreciated  My friend's artstation
