Thanks for pointing out I'm not using a dx 11 card. In fact I'm using a ati 4770 hd. I had plans on getting a GT275 but ran out of money. Probably get one or something better at the end of this year. I tried to replicate it just now, but I cant even get the input window up. I've got a feeling the project somehow got corrupted. When I try with a blank project everything works fine. However this gets me worried, as you can image, that whatever I work on can get corrupted at any time.… -

Yeah I would go with the 4790 as well, anything higher than that and you're paying more for not much gain. More expensive mobo, more expensive ram, and as others have said, if your apps aren't really well optimized for multi-threading, a 6 core cpu with a slower clockspeed will tend to be slower than a 4 core of roughly… -
