Hi People of Poly count !:) I'm going to be creating a thread where it will be containing my photographic realistic textures and hopefully can gain some good feedback of you guys
Yeah no need to split it up in that sense for game-production stuff. You can contain all your meshes regardless what 'material' it is, into one UV texture, to save yourself from doing that step.
Can DECALMachine be used as a library to contain meshes with materials? Dare I say, a kitbash library browser, that would store my own meshes and materials? Or are there perhaps other alternatives more oriented towards this?
Nice work, but I think roughness level needs some changes. Those shiny edges look a bit odd on old prop that contains a lot of dirt, dust etc. Keep going with the work :)
On the subject of desensatization to violence I'm going to post this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wh9QrPDnv0 And run away really fast because I don't want to see the disturbing imagery it contains to make it's point.
Thanks! About his arm, you're right, i should try and change his right arm position. Actually he look self contained (if i'm correct x) ). I'll work on that! :D
Some one asked to see some of the WIP shots on another forum so thought i would post here too First shot is the master texture used for everything but the droid, container and terminal
The watertight container for matches Lowpoly with smoothing groups set up for the chamfer modifier. then I add the chamfer modifier with the following settings. The important one is the Input Options Unsmoothed Edges With chamfer modifer added
It contains the Silouhette. Thats not the problem, its the actual baking - I seem to have hardened edges around the square in the middle. I also seem to have no curve or bevel on the outter shape as in the higher poly.
head is right where my eyes go. looks kinda skinny.....the back part of peoples heads are a bit more bulbous to contain the brain. example.... http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/9286/headji.jpg
