First i create base contour (Line), than using extrude, than convert to editable poly, remove all superfluous elements, and done :) -

Good looking screw there! I'm not sure about what was done here, but one way to go is creating a helix, extruding it and welding the appropriate verts. -

Looks like you extruded a lot of parts and didn't shape them out to the vehicles form hence why things look out of place -

What I do is create my curve and extrude from a cylinder, Increase divisions and then model/add edge loops where I need to. -

also modeling using a lot of splines can help too, make a profile spline and extrude it accross a other spline or do some lofting. -

i would draw the profile of the mid section as a spline than extrude out in both directions, than use soft selection and scale in as needed. -

Yeah as Sean said above not sure what you want. I am assuming a solid surface. If so I'd apply a Extrude modifier. -

Yep, it's never worked for me either. At least not after 2010, if I recall correctly. I've gotten into the habit of extruding and welding. Pain in the ass. -

I think I'm going to smooth out the model a bit more and remove those side extrudes by the trigger guard. Will post again soon. -

Well i created lines converted them to editable poly and spaced them.Each section is a differnt polygon.Theres no extrude on anything.Basicly 2d block out.
