Just linking this here in case anyone missed it, very useful. https://80.lv/articles/understanding-lighting-creation-in-games/ Thanks for your inputs everyone! very appreciated. :)
The only way this is getting more 80's is if it puts on a pair of Ray-Bans. Well done. I'm surprised there haven't been more vector/grid type designs yet.
That, and the shadows behind the tile columns are very nice too You should make a thread in the 2D Art Showcase & Critiques area: http://www.polycount.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=80
It's not bothering, your scene looks great. I particulary enjoy your book material.^^ I've read your interview on 80.lv, really great insight. Keep it up!
The 80 gb models have software emulation. The oldschool 60gb models have the Ps2 chipset inside them. The 40gb models don't even do software, which is baffling.
from what I can tell you aren't using the same road texture on the bridge and the roads. Is that right? If so you should change that. 80% of that bridge texture is waste.
What if Hitler was not only a woman, but also got impregnated by Joseph Stalin and created a super dictator who rules over the 80's world with an Anti-Semitic Iron fist!?!??!
Goldeneye was about 80% horizontal play. Worked great for that style but my fuck if that wasn't the most primitive way of shooters. It's like arrow keys + WASD from back in the day!
