Yeah illusive you're right, i also made a mistake and put hkg36 K on the rifle texture instead of C lol. Jason good ideas i'll make em happen but i need a clarification,Flats as how the diffuse appears on the model without shading, or just the simple texture sheets ? :) You mean this sort of flats ? :) ) no shading,…
good work, eyes may be a tad far apart, hard to tell, only other real comments are that the face may be a bit too flat the forehead down to the chin is one almost perfectly flat line, its not a big deal cause some people are like that, but could be a problem if all your faces turn out flat
i agree about the legs and the wrists... especially the legs... i would really pay close attention to that area and also make special note of what shows and what doesn't after you add the buildup of fat and skin.... the back side of the foot looks really weird, like the toe separation shouldn't be happening that high up…
@another caveman Thanks! Very happy you like it :) I'd be happy to have it look good with a smoothed, not too photographic style but I'd really want to know what would you do to it in order to push it towards a raw photographic appearance? It's a look I'm really interested in being able to reach and would like to have a…
Here is my next attempt at a character, this is basically my base mesh before bringing it into Zbrush to sculpt in some mechanical information. The concept of this character is a juxtaposition between Old western cowboy and futuristic robot. The old west feel will be brought in through textures that I will paint on, mainly…
@Neoferd Cheers for your feedback dude, The chainmail is supposed to be hanging from the helmet rather than underneath the helmet, but I've gone and tried to make the chainmail less bumpy. It'll get less shiny when the snows all over it too :) Hey Polycount :D Been doing some more work on the viking dudes, given them some…
Hi there, I want to say I love all the very detailed props! Great job on those, I feel a sense of continuity within the props! As for the outside, the island I feel should have a little more level or flat space around the building. The immediate slope downward gives an uncomfortable feel like you'll just slide and fall off…
@ Obscura and @ Gazo You are right I guess. I will hide that logo next time. Thanks for pointing that out. :D I really wanted to test out a bit of animations really. But now I got solid feedback from veterans, I am going to only put her "turntables" in the video. Thanks a lot for the heads up ! About flatness. I guess I…
@Gaston While I think it's cool that you managed to get so far so fast, I would recommend slowing it down a little bit. It's not a race, there is a lot of time left and it could easily be used for polish. You say you are trying to make it very low poly, what is the current triangle count? I think there are a ton of areas…
I did a Corinthian capital entirely in ZBrush once, and I do not recommend it. If you want things to remain clean, precise, and manageable you are best off modeling your individual pieces and duplicating them around as floating geometry. It's a lot easier to manage things that way and you can get crisper results. You could…
