Hey guys, i wanted to do this pope-ish kinda character, my first ever human. Pls let me know where i should make improvements, its still a wip so a loooong way to go from here.. :poly125: I started off in maya, made the base mesh and smoothed once. I didn't really bother much about the anatomy cos i was gonna put clothes…
Thank you for the feedback axxic3. Been a while since I updated my sketch book since I Was super super busy at school... Than again.. that's not an excuse. I'll try to keep it updated from now on... Or at least do better at updating it. :) I want to post some progress of a character I'm working on for a specialization…
So with the way dynamic cloth works in Unreal, you paint a mask for the parts that are to be simulated so it doesn't need to be a separate object or element. You just paint in the part that should simulate in the cloth tool. If you break it into separate objects that creates another draw call. Which you might want if…
thx for the crits guys. @luke i suppose its a bit late for this now. originaly i planned him to be not that serious, so i went for a bit more comical proportions, his head is also pretty large etc. didnt think he would turn out that evil in the end :D @kmactastic thx, you are right about the threads on the cape. although i…
As @kanga says, if your aim is to create a real-time character then forget about messing around with posing and layers and over complicating the mouthbag. If you want to experiment with posing and layers in ZB then do it in a more focused project. As it is you may end up frustrating yourself by taking on too much at once.…
Update : I finished the satchet on the sides, reworked his scarf to suits better to the other clothes, and finished also the " ribbon " on his shoulder aswell as the skull. Like I said, I want it to match as close as possible the Lol Champions, so I searched for some reference clothes they use on their champion and it…
I don't think you're at the detailing stage yet honestly. There's a lot of messy forms leading to blobby, uninteresting shapes. Things like folds and wrinkles in your cloth look to drawn on top, rather than a natural part of the clothing. Step back in detail with your sculpt and work the folds in to lower detail geometry,…
Some good resource reference there for russian uniforms, I had trouble finding good sources of reference material. I wound up using this image for reference: (2nd and 4th from left, sort of a mix to keep it generic) I knew I would be off on the authenticity of the uniform, I had mentioned in the first post that for this…
Hello everyone - I'm working through the final stages of this character and have realized I'm not going to be able to get away with just the unreal cloth tool to simulate the drape-y pieces of cloth attaching her wrist and back: It seems like from the investigating I've done that the best thing to do would be use a dynamic…
