I added in some flowers, and post processing in unreal and photoshop. Also I didnt realize but i actually had 2 directional lights before so I fixed that. I want to make a dirt texture and make some props for inside the stable. Also will be making some changes to the stable model so it looks more polished and nice!
I love the new brick texture, blows the old one out of the water. I would suggest maybe adding some pops of color here and there... maybe flowers in the grass or some green mossy detail on the plaster/stucco? Good luck! I think I might attempt this too and see how far I can get! :)
@Burpee Okay I will learn how to moel plants then :) I wanted to learn how to do that in Maya but, i don't know, in every plants Maya tutorial the flowers/leaves always look a bit geometric ;-; I tried it and I obtained the same geometric shapes so I thought that Zbrush would give me a "smoother" result?
More progress on my vegetation studies. I'm aware of the lack of quality in the grass (got the technical workflow down at least, just need to iterate and polish) but I will be doing another push on it after the Hydrangea flowers are complete. I still got the whole green leaf / bush and stalk work to do for them but that…
Thanks for the comments guys. I worked a bit on rigging this guy today, just basic parenting for the parts. Anyone know of a really good tutorial on how to rig tentacles? I duplicated along a curve for them today but that obviously isn't ideal. Dis, Ferg - Still working on the tentacles, so yeah, they definitely look…
piece would be stronger without overuse of the main statue on the sides. It's a great piece sure, but let it be the focal point. Your arches will read better without it anyway. You have ref for this? The arches look to be from two different types of architecture. The plants would look better with only the flowers at the…
Why you always have to go do this, you bring back old stuff. Here's often the structure of your posts: topic: "Hi, I wonder why flowers make you happy?" derail: "Here's a picture of a bird I made long ago" utilization of derail: "I updated the bird, what do you think?"
I agree the grass might need more work, and extra flowers and stuff. I have bigger problems getting the rest of the street done ;/ did the new building(s) and will have to make another one tomorrow. I have loads to do and 4 days left with the Marmoset engine before the end of the trial. By bigern77 at 2010-08-18
So roughly you are going for a vine (money plant like plants) plant approach and these blue flowers are the source of light. Interesting. its ok if you dont have the full concept laid out, you can just roughly tell us what you are going for when you have 3d stuff ready. :) Good luck.
Although the instrument is really artistic, especially with the lotus flower, I think you need a koto/guzheng reference so you can give it more substance, a little more of realistic feelings. Anyway, I like more your work than the original skin :D PD: Try to look into complementary colors. As said by VeKKat, green works :)
