This is not old school, old school if we are talking about games would be sprites, if we are talking about 3D then we are in the max 300 tris range (Quake 1 , tomb raider) old school is from the first time it happened, and not the first time you learned about it. -

The price seems to be good for 2x2GB modules - I haven't had a problem with OCZ so far and they are considered to be "quality ram". Personally I'd rather go with a PC6400 kit with the little to no price difference just to have a little more headroom for the future (unless you only ever plan to use the ram in a c2d machine… -

Ah guys i found a wacom intuos4 M widescreen on sale at a store here for 170euro. Now considering that the "normal" price is around 300 that's a good offer. I'm used to working on a A4 size tablet. How's this size to work on (model on a 24inch screen) ?? -

Wat. Why didn't you open the thread with that.. If anyone has a AMD card with newer drivers it'd be interesting to hear if there are any problems with 3d software. I have my eye on the 390 right now. 8GB of ram for $330 US is pretty great. -

Re: rendering in max (resolution)
Just multiply the size you want the render to be (in inches) by 300, and set the resolution to that number. So, for example, if you wanted to make a 6" x 6" render at 300dpi, you would set the resolution to 1800 x 1800 pixels. That should work, right? -

I'm not so sure the Wii has the staying power, in the end I think it will have distracted people long enough to hurt Sony while Microsoft slowly keeps climbing. Think of the Wii like The 300 heh, only closer to the real historical battle. -

you General looks really cool. for the Dictator i think you should use as many polies as you did in the General to make them consistant. i'd go ahead and bump both their counts to 300 even and add a couple more polies for deformation
