It is called Final Fantasy... I play this game for the story, like I play every game. I do not have to want to be the main character to enjoy the game. calibrated monitor here as well and these images are indeed too dark. the luminance seems to have been clamped. the brightest brights are at ~70% luminance. just open the 3rd image (since it has both lights and shadows) in PS and check histogram-luminosity. you will see that the highest value peaks at ~170 which is roughly… -

SEKNeox- Ya, I should put the alpha in the texture. Good call. But if I make the branches different opacities won't that cause alot of overdraw? And I don't think it would look very good if the leaves were 66% transparent. Here's a texture update. Made sure the alpha has no gradients/feathered edges like Vig said. -

Thanks MoP. I think I got what you're saying and it seems to work. Did you mean to scale the uv's to fit in an additional 10 units left OR right, because it seems thats what I had to do to get it, rather then left AND right. Left and right would mean I'd scale it down 66% horizontally, am I correct in thinking that? Thanks…
