Jackalope - That's looking great. Been having a hard time finding the time to draw the last few months, was finally able to knock this out over the last couple nights.
Yeah, does it show too much? I've been trying to work out a method for painting realistic skin, with blemishes etc, but it's hard to match some of the photo to texture stuff.
Nice work Dan! Are the textures on the guy WIP too? I think you can push the materials differences some more. Kinda hard distinguish what's what right now
Andreas, Betelgeist and Mrandk: Thanks guys! And here's a crosspost with my Hand painted stuff thread. I'm trying to keep loose and large strokes, but Murph's influence is hard to avoid now :)
Amazing detail, and I love the overall shape that makes me wish I had Zbrush. my critique is Animation related since this armor has no joints in its arms and shoulders(concept wise it seems like they are all covered in what looks like seamless non-deform-able hard surface plates) I know you probably don't make this for…
WIP of a Yamaha FZ1 wannabe. I took some "poetic licence" on some parts, i have started this model in 2008 and suddenly pop up this month on my hard drive. Salud.
beautiful stuff here as always! here's my contribution... a tiny apple. I want to work on still life in my lunch breaks but it's gonna be hard if I'm eating my reference every day :)
MisterSande: Thanks! I did all the hard surface bits in max, then took it to Zbrush to scuff it up a bit. This is also rendered in Zbrush. scotthomer: Thanks man! means a lot coming from you.
cheers odium, I did a lot of hard work on this sucker:). yeah he is a bit dwarflike now - maybe the render, but will check it out front view if anyone would like to offer some advice on the proportiions
