Free_fall> I'd work more on your material definitions. It's hard to read any clear distinction between the rubber(?) grip and metal parts of the gun. Couldn't find any good ref, you probably got better, but this image shows what I mean by distinction.
benji - here is racers's: http://www.nextgenhardsurface.com/index.php?pageid=racer445 and the original thread he started here at polycount: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84564 heres the one by Alec Moody on 3dmotive: http://www.3dmotive.com/product-hard-surface-vehicle-texturing
Mike, you are correct, and fast too :) Jbird, glad you like it man, thanks :) ups with clothes and some more work on the face. still not quite there though. Hes got a pretty round/chubby face and its hard to resist the usual muscle/anatomy shapes
I like the softness of the textures there Tako, the bottom of the neck and collar bones look a bit funky though. dfacto - I really like the design of that thing, it's got some flavuh! practicing some hard surface stuffs. still needs work. environment speed doodle
Some cool hard surface stuff and environments in here recently. Re-attempting this guy, i think he looks a lot stronger and burly than my last attempt. As always, kind of fumbling around with the anatomy, I need to tackle some real people soon.
wow ceebee, nice one! really intense model, gogogo for texturing, right now its somewhat hard to read but this is basicly because of the overall same colorization and lack of light/shadows okay no one was around this lunch so i used my break to doodle around further
crazyfool, HntrLuc looking great! started a new char, Mancubus fanart from original Doom. still blocking out the forms mostly, the hard surface stuff is giving me headaches though, specially the design on the flamethrowers. edit: thank you Dan! did a quick paintover for kicks.
Woke up after a very purple environment dream so enjoy a crayon sketch then tried... the tower things are portals to somewhere. I think they look like something out of the hard surface thread O_o edit: this is what my small environment skills can do for it for now *collapse*
Biofrost- I feel that the wear and tear is too uniform across the hard edges you have in place. To me, those would seam like areas that would have different wear and tear because of their angles. Nice progress. My humble attempt at handpainting wood, with obligatory stylized knots...
It's hard to watch because it starts out so quickly and ends before I can full screen it, seems like with wings like that he would just jump, have a slightly longer hangtime than usual, then land again. But from what I can see it looks pretty good :)
