That's fine for concept, need things quick and fast even dirty is fine. You're going to paint over/ bash over the render anyways. Reason I'm asking is more for production assets in games.
Hi. I got an easy one. Textures made in marmoset 4, rendered in Blender 3.6 shows seams. Ive hunted down all the settings I could find in the overlays and texture nodes but no luck yet. Quick render. Seams. UV shells in marmoset (above). Marmoset shell padding seems fine. This is something recent as the character doesn't…
@Prime8 L ooks good - I was having trouble replicating that for some reason. Will investigate some more later, because it does seem like the best 'non hacky' solution - but for now I am happy enough with it ie there are no artefacts . But the bad thing is I seems to have fried my video card with all this rendering :) EDIT…
In what way? 2.5 is vastly faster and more responsive than 2.4x due to the implementation of VBOs and vertex arrays for the viewport rendering. Do you have VBO checked in the prefs.? (Prefs.> System> VBOs)
@huffer I don't think the Internal render baking supports AA either. I wouldn't bother with baking in Blender, it's just very bare bones and there doesn't seem to be much interest in it from the devs.
@thomasp I think the volumetric effects are very heavy. And they dont really aim at being "realtime", more like an interactive renderer. Did not play around with it so far, but would be nice if it can be tweaked as a fast preview renderer as well :) got annoyed by the two uv modes in blender, so I implemented a uv…
Hey Earthquake - I've uploaded the zip to my DropBox but with a blend file included that has everything setup. What you've written should have worked, though. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/41049228/blendertestnormals-withBlend.zip Couple of things: Renderer should be set to Blender Render (or Blender Game) Viewport shading…
Ha that makes more sense, thanks ! Well, that makes more sense, now I see where all the Eevee viewport settings from the pre 2.8 have gone. Although the way it is organized really is awful UX wise - there's basically no way to access these settings at all if one is using Eevee for preview and Cycles for render, since the…
Yea, Cycles is awesome. They just added render passes for the next release too ^^ :D I must admit that I love the 3d cursor, though I never set it's location with left mouse...far too imprecise :/
@Justo I tried a lot of normal map baking related things today, not related to your problem. But I can definitely tell you from what I tried: Do *not* check the Save as Render checkbox when saving normal maps! If you do, that will bake color corrected values into the texture and not the normal data you expect. You should…
