Reminds me of the demon from Quake. Quite cool. I noticed you made the sketch version of the hat guy then a painted version, now a sketch version of a fiend... what could you be up to? So many creative possibilities. Still loving the messy NPR.
@ Jackwhat That looks like a final fantasy pirate to me! ;) Very nice painting style. @ Ferg Very cool! I think it would look even better if the extreme putting the lip up would squezze the eyes close ;) Heres what im currently working on:
Can i join the sculpting fun toos!! Meet Ms.WrongAnatomy! She had her hands amputated at age 11. I self-censored it because this is a children's forum! her head tattoo also said a lot of swears so i painted over that with hair.
A cookie for Joopson! You're the only person who's guessed it without any hints. Now I'm wondering if he's recognizable enough... Oh, and speaking of which, here's the latest. The hair's obviously unfinished, but so are a lot of other things. Painting blue skin is hard as hell.
great sculpt neo, i also need to do some 1:1, but let me get something smaller right before i start going big do you use an airbrush to paint it? i still need to get me one of those
Jonathan you must have done something wrong when you resized the textures. Try use the bottom resize option in the tab menu in the resize window if you are using photoshop. (If you haven't already) I just think there shouldn't be much difference but there is in the small images u posted. (this I have had to do some times…
LOL, I mean fixing the normal map, you know, areas where the cage didn't quite get everything right. Some small things it's much faster to fix by hand painting the normal map to get it right instead of spending a lot of time messing with the cage. :)
still very wip but making progress. I am thinking of vertex painting the walls and then doing a RTT instead of decals for the grime over the base textures on the walls. The older props will get a touch up to there textures before the end to bring it all together and make it more consistent.
yeah very nice style zera! Though i think you painted too much 3d in the rocks, if its only for a 2d style platformer that will be allright but if the camera also rotates it could look very strange. That gradient overlay makes it also look more unrealistic flat.
Wow. That is example is awesome. Really shows me just how much further I can actually take this piece. I never even thought about having the teeth being shown but that paint over really shows how much more scary it is when they are exposed. Thanks
