Does anyone have any advice for painting water? I was initially going for still water in a pond, but as I practiced I got something kind of like open water:

Tried to do a paint over for you. I usually like to place a sun some where to remind me where I want the sun light to come from. then take the base color and then pick a color above and below that. Depending on the angle of my sun I will paint light areas where i think the sun would hit and darker areas where the sun…
Yes, I do make one specific change. I set the button of my Wacom pen to work as middle mouse click, so I can rotate the viewport by holding down Alt + the Wacom pen button. I find the workflow to be very fluid that way.
This is the last thing I did. I did the car later on and added it in. I also approached the car a bit differently than I did the rest of the textures. AntonioNeves, Damn, that cabin :)) I wonder, do you do the textures before or after you've modeled? model I don't know if I like using normalmaps yet, it almost feel forced. The iron is very bland and simple, which is something I will have to improve on.
