Just as an FYI, as someone who has actually handled multiple types of firearms, that trigger would be incredibly clunky and difficult to work with. It's about 2 - 3 times too wide.
@undoz: I love that character! so vibrant. @aimBIZ: that is horrifying but I love it! character for a 3 minute animation i gotta do for class. i'll start a thread eventually....
Testing a new workflow using 3dcoat export as dense quads and zbrush, lots of interesting discoveries... and quite possibly the easiest way to sculpt... (Demon hunter from diablo 3)
dark knight: what 3d app are you using, typically for capes at least what i try to do is create 3 chains of bones, one on each side of it and one in the middle.
After a few months modeling environment props a head is good for a change. I hope it's recognizable already, but I reckon it still needs a lot of work, mainly on the 3/4 view...
Nick: I like where the second painting is going. Reminds me of Andrew Wyeth. http://filelibrary.myaasite.com/Content/3/3414/30206065.jpg http://walkingollie.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/wyeth2span.jpg
Feels very segmented, almost like it's gonna transform into a robot :P This is probably due to the breaks being visible in the 3 dimensions though. If you embedded that into another mesh you wouldn't notice.
I used mental ray and a Raytrace material with a falloff texture for the reflection slot. Its a basic 3 light setup, then I rendered an ambient occlusion pass and a zdepth pass then composited it in photoshop.
great character rollin. sword looks a little short though. Might be the perspective. A rough estimate (from me) is that the blade is normally 3 and a 1/4 times as long as the handle. Beartraps: wow
nice medestruit love the style. reminds me of stuff done by aaron turner (although he doesnt do people for the most part) http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zpB9ZEe8p8k/S7rFjsYwHaI/AAAAAAAAAxE/ruaXdmCULYI/s1600/PLANET_isis.jpg
