Those 4 gigs of vram really makes a huge diff in Mari and Mudbox =O Very happy. -

If you go with the 2,718 tri lod you could probably round out the gauges, bottle and tank a bit and still come in under 3k? Especially if you delete the unseen tris. You could probably push it up to 5k or hell even leave it, 8k -unseen isn't going to be that expensive really. And as if we haven't beaten this dead horse… -

When I got my Cintiq, I hooked it up at work for a while. So I had 3 monitors & 2 vid cards [7900 & 5200]. The Cintiq & 1 monitor were connected to the primary card, with the other monitor hooked into a PCI slot card. Worked fine till driver updates came along. They were all nvidia cards, but I had to install the driver… -

Been hunting around and got some much better prices after a tip from a Supermicro adviser. Apart from the monitor, Scan are ftw. *Had to change the motherboard model because it wasn't compatible with the x16 slot required by the new Radeon video card which was weird because it's actually the latest model that can take more… -

you are welcome! i am glad it is helpful. regarding zbrush or maya workflow, it doesnt really matter as long as you get clean result. you have too few edges in places where they are needed and too much in some places where not needed. my example mesh should give you a good idea on improving that. for rendering in zbrush it…
