If its a energy weapon, having carbon stains doesn't make much sense. What about some heat discoloration. http://www.flickr.com/photos/15454791@N00/277499560/sizes/l/ Titanium goes through the entire rainbow of colors when it gets hot, http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&um=1&q=titanium+exhaust&sa=N&start=0&ndsp=20
looking good... he feels abit splochy... lots of lighter areas dabbled over his skin... His lips need some color and i think you need to vary the colors of your subdermal map more... get more saturation in it... and if your going to be rendering that close then id suggest using a higher rez map. check out my maps and model…
Well that sure was fun, i chopped her down to a 1531 poly model and threw on some auto generated UVs to make test normals.... too bad lw wont render tangent space so it looks like i wont be able to mirror anything on the uvs =/
nesarly time for puttin in the oven and baking. still needs a bit of cleaning up, esp round side pods uvws are done but neeed packin currently just under 15k polys (high i know but this is designed to be huge) 3rd person character should be able to climb up ladders
The clicking usually means flat battery. My current car tho acts weird when the batter is flat, it just does nothing atall, i freaked one morning when it just wouldnt do anything, then i charged the battery for like 15mins and the engine started on first turn.
if this is going to be animated (which i assume it will be) it could use a lot more polygons, for detail and deformation, its hl2 so i think at least 1500 polygons minimum per pokemon would be good, right? Its a great likeness though, instantly recognizeable.
[ QUOTE ] Vig, as far as I know these screenshots show no "creature vision", they show the parts of the levels which were frozen by aliens. In Crysis you fight against North Korean soldiers and aliens with ice weapons. [/ QUOTE ] If thats the case, they need more to the effect than "- saturation 150".
The UV Map Editor and Hypershader problem I have seem limited to my computer. I did not get the same problem on a MacIntosh G4 Dual 1Ghz CPU system. Which Indicates its my ATI 9500 Video Card that is causing the problem. Since I get all these quirks with the ATI card, Heads Up Display - Polycount don't work and Problems…
Well all broadcasts in the U.S are going to be digital & HD by 2009. So if you want to watch TV at all, you'll need an HDTV. And honestly, they aren't that expensive anymore. You can get an amazing DLP set in the $1500-2000 range. If you want to get plasma or LCD, that's where the price skyrockets. I'd wait until next year…
Update, fixed the silhouette on some pieces. Deleted the backside and removed some of the bevels and removed some edge loops from the noozle. Tricount: 1516 I can upload the obj file if anyone wants to have a look, just ask :)
