Here is Samurai Shodown’s Tam Tam. This is the game-res model rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. It has 59k tris and textures designed to work with next-gen phisically based shading. 4 UVlayouts for the body, 1 hor the Sword Thanks guys for the amazing challenge, super fun!
I'll be at the Game dev drink up! w00t. Can't wait for that. This trip is already too much fun :D Took some pictures of the Riot building last night as we drove by! Also if anyone wants to meet up at the expo itself feel free to PM me.
I think it looks pretty close to your reference. The OCD in me noticed that the pattern of your tiles changes halfway down on the main body of the grill. They start off-setting to the right then they off-set to the left, but that is me nitpicking :) The textures could be fun for this piece. Will be looking for updates.
looking good. you seem to have had more fun modelling it than concepting it if you don't mind me saying often i see people who do great concepts and are not quite as good at the modelling side for some reason, but you seem to be better at modelling.
praetus hell yes! Thank you for the plugin. ScubaSteve this is good news. That competition looks like some fun, we'd enter but I think my coding incompetence is enough to suggest we wouldn't win. Well, not without a proper coder. The Mad Artist thanks for the links.
Yeah, don't worry about being great, just mess about and have fun. Tutorials are great for the basics, sometimes though they won't cover what you want to accomplish, thats why experimenting is always the best way forward, and coming up with your own conclusions.
It's not rocket science. See: Pretty simple! The internet is full of drama queens -- that's what makes it fun -- so this is just business as usual. Everyone who is 'pissed off' will forget about it as soon as another 'scandal' hits, which shouldn't take much more than a couple of hours.
Well I edit just to have some fun. No other game out there interests me : I'm a melee guy, not guns type. Heheh, besides my SP campaign wont take me years to make (I'm not making a TC or 29 level game lol)
never read the books so I bought em a few weeks ago. Haven't got a chance to read much of it, but so far it's all fun, and I'm looking forward to Narnia more then I'm looking forward to King Kong, however both movies will be inspiring and sweet.
I don't see you aspiring, I see you doing it! This very well could be the design aesthetic of a very fun low-fi indie exploration & puzzle game. My only crit: moar pls. And ArtStation link, so I can follow ya.
