I heard 159 people from Radical. They handled this very poorly. Most developers in Vancouver knew about this weeks ago. I wish the best of luck to everyone who's parted ways with Radical and High Moon. I hope that those remaining are allowed to finish your games well and proper still. -

You can buy a 500$ license for 1 year 3ds max (with free upgrades), and you could grab polyboost at 150$ to beef up the modeling part heaps. Autodesk releases a new version every year anyway, so that would be catching two birds with one stone :) It's hard to recommend a program over another, it just degrades discussions to… -

Vig,.... ah so, ok :) Just a couple of screen shots,... the main occlusion turned out smooth as a baby's butt. The model has the occlusion in the diff slot of a standard max mat and normal map applied. The model weighs in at a fat 15496 tris, but has a full set of teeth. Seams are due to the push, not collapsed yet. Thanks… -

It's not that it's too expensive for it's features, it's that most PORTABLE gamers don't need that stuff, and it's adding onto the price. If they just had a basic gameplayer with nothing with it, I'd bet they could sell it for $150-$199, and it would sell better. -

The trailer is weak. The film was made with 15,000$ budget so i imagine the marketing for it sucks. Infact, it started out as a indie flick but so many people started hearing about it and now its gaining recognition. It was sold out when i saw it. Yeah, I've got a super-slow torrent download going now... what the hell they can't have a real server with decent download speeds for us slobs that paid $80 months ago? :P I'm finally getting something like 150k, but earlier it was hanging around 50k :/
