hi Vig,thanks for your reply. It is an art test i am sitting and they want a simple animation (no more than 60 frames of the arm/hand trying to crawl). I have used skin/biped in the past and if poss would like to use the same over. Any help is warmly received.
Thanks a lot for those nice tips. I'll try that. Psyk0: What do you mean by "hidden layers" trick ? By the way, do you use polygon cruncher ? I've seen that Epic guys use it a lot. But if we can handle 60 millions polygons within Max, is it really useful?
[ QUOTE ] KeyserSoze is the closest guess. Keep thinking about little boys [/ QUOTE ] HEY GUY WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPLY HERE!?! [ QUOTE ] in the fifties movies. [/ QUOTE ] Oh... oh nevermind. Um, the only other movie that comes to mind is "The Sandlot," but I'm pretty sure that took place in the 60s.
So I came across this post by James Taylor again, where he suggests going from A-pose to T-pose forcefully by modelling in A-pose, and then manually adjust to a 60 deg A-pose (closer T-pose, so HumanIK works). Could anyone confirm that this is the way the game industry works?
Also 60% of the time when joining co-op mode. All people seem to want to do is grief noobs, which gets old very quick. Anyhoo. Cant wait for the DLC coming and I really hope we get a portal 2 prelude MOD type thing as well.
You're a genius! Okay, I looked at the current post count and got the the latest post, subtracted the number of posts over a million from the highest post ID and this is the post I got: Lucky number 1,000,000 goes to Jacque Choi! http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1528050&postcount=60
Bellsey, I've got a new Maya 2015 bug for you. Smoothing certain meshes in Maya 2015 takes about 60 seconds, compared to nearly instant in Maya 2014. I exported an .obj that I use to repro in both packages and tested with default prefs. Where's the best place to submit this?
I got my 4x5 Intuos2 off Ebay for $60 USD. No warraty, but it has 1024 levels of sesitivity, good pen DPI and it works beautifully. I've heard horror stories from other people about the cheaper tablets out there but I personally don't have any experience with them.
Thanks both of you. I think the main thing that is happening was JPEG artifacting. I'm saving my images using "Save for the Web" at jpg-high 60. This seems to get the files sizes down considerably but I wasn't sure if it was chopping too much of the quality. More input is always welcome!
It was fun. I really didn't like the lighting in the level. There isn't a lot of contrast in it. The color palette in the level is all over the place too. The gameplay was fun. But I really can't see myself spending $60 on this when Halo 3, Ratchet Future, and with a slew of other games coming out this fall.
