Took me 1.5 years to get a real stuido job after graduating. My portfolio sucked blah blah sob story . Anyways I worked a regular job and worked my ass off and finally got in. You can to, education is not everything tons to learn here
I'd cut it down from 2.5 minutes to 1-1.5 minutes, only show your very best work. Also I don't mean to offend you but I think the choice of music is poor for a showreel, try use something without lyrics if possible, especially not rap.
They didn't have a power supply there, which is why it was as-is/untested. I bit the bullet and bought one from ebay for $100, found a listing that allows returns, so if it turns out the display is fubar I'll just send it back, if not i've got a ACD for $125, can't really complain.
so I bought a jakobs skin from the gun dealer, double clicked it in my inventory and then ran to the customizing station, but the skin wasnt there. I was pissed, it cost 11k. I saw the tribute guy when i returned to sanctuary after the finale, he was hanging out in the gunstore.

Lighting Built the lighting since the last post - I dare say its starting to look nice. Lighting currently takes 1.5 hours, but I expect to double that time for the final bake before submission. This is due to the lightmap sizes (1024) and there's a fair amount of SSS happening in there now.
Well for daily routines I use Ultradian Rythm method. 1,5 hours of uniterrupted work, 30 minutes of uninterrupted rest. Then repeat. Never work more than 8-9 hours. Take weekends of if you can. If you can't try to make some space for yourself.
I would suggest scaling the head to 125/150% in width, the skull seems very narrow to me right now and maybe make the scratches nicks a bit more obvious to break up those clean edges, otherwize really digging the piece, keep up the nice work!

True but part of the reason i'm doing this now is so i'll have a good foundation when i'm in college. That way i can be ahead of the crowd and hopefully meet like minded artists. Besides, college is 1.5 years off for me, can't wait that long.
