Similarly as above, all I can suggest is too open a work in progress on what you're actually doing or for that matter envision doing, either here or elsewhere, then perhaps a sense of direction you lack may filter down via critique and perhaps also provide an initial foundation upon which to further explore other potential…
You probably box modeled this in Max right? Really the way to go is sculpting. You dont need zBrush for this (although it helps). Alot of 3d apps have the capability these days. One example is the open source software Blender3D. Place a human scull model under your sculpt to check on structure as you go. Make alot of…
Since Blender2.8 got "cryptomatte" node it's way more convenient to do any post than Photoshop. Photoshop couldn't even open layered exr files Nuke is too expensive. You could try free up to 2048 pix Blackmagic Fusion or whatever they call it now. Although I didn't tried it yet. Older version didn't have cryptomatte.
I tought I submited the jpg compressed version. I didn't. Sorry for that ! it's fixed now. In term of lighting I was thinking about boosting the light bounces rather than adding a third light source, but the question is open right now. The blue light comes from the light reflection on a planet in the background. Since I…
Simply ... ask them again. There was probably some sort of miscommunication at some point, or maybe you ended up being connected to the wrong person. Open meshes (non watertight) definitely cause problems, but interpenetrating objects are completely fine since the toolpath interpreter will always see them as closed…
Jerc said: I opened up the sbs but it wasn't using the separated row idea, I've seen this trick elsewhere though so I may dig it up. What I did find with this is that they are able to get what is essentially a edge detect from an ambient occlusion node which is interesting, just a shame you lose the luminosity opportunity…
The better way to handle this is to have a different model for skin-tight clothes, with no skin polygons underneath the fabric. Any skin that does show would be welded to the edges of the fabric. You can also have a little overlap if needed, for example a small flesh pocket for an open collar. This way you avoid excess…
I know a few Q&A community for CG and UI design, does any one of them fit your imagination? - http://computergraphics.stackexchange.com/ - http://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/ - https://www.designernews.co/ - http://ux.stackexchange.com/ I think there are quite a few open source Stack Exchange clones on GitHub, you…
Hey Adam! Thanks for the critique! Going to have to move on, but I went ahead and fixed the broken wrist. Application deadline is the 28th and I only have two animations. The wrist was caused by gimbal lock. Been having issues with the rig gimbaling every time I open up the file. It was as easy to fix as running the Euler…
Nintendo games will never come to Steam... they'd have to be in their grave for that to happen. I'm excited for the device. The kind of statements I've been reading that it's just a nvidia Shield or tablet etc. don't align with reality, it's near xbox one performance supposedly. Going mobile like that with the open ended…
