Vista ultimate 64bit sp1 Max 2009 64bit Silo 2.1 PS CS2 UAC off along with a few other services/features. Sounds like a cool feature Rob. Looking forward to checking it out.
Greetings, sounds like a intriguing project, I'd like to offer my services. As others have asked before me is if it's a paid job? Here is a link to some of my stuff. http://callumkyllonen.tumblr.com/demoreel Thanks, Callum
BitBuffet is a service which I use to automatically send the download link after a PayPal order has been placed. That message on the download page I cannot change, it's there for people which are selling music or other stuff.
Asda to offer 3D printing in store, Supermarket chain trialing new service that allows shoppers to scan and replicate anything in ceramic, from £40 http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/oct/10/asda-3d-printing
Ryno's right, FBX is a life saver. For just getting unweighted meshes from maya to max and the other way around i'd definantly point anyone to FBX. http://www.alias.com/eng/products-services/fbx/index.shtml
Not that I know of. It seems like a huge oversite that they would just keep this new way of selecting edges in the pelt mapping function only. Maybe with the service pack or version 9 they'll break it out to the rest of the program.
For anyone else that's thinking of picking this up early on import: http://www.videogamesplus.ca/product_info.php?cPath=381_392&products_id=16235 Pretty decent price (works out around £23 right now), and their service comes highly recommended.
There are some pretty rough example files if you do a thorough search for 3d scanning devices and services, but the real quality stuff that movie VFX studios use isn't really available anywhere, not even for demo purposes.
Finished the crate, moving on to something more challenging now, going to create a service robot for the level! Something like EVE from Wall-E but my own design. I'll post sketches as soon as I can
These are fantastic! -I was really hoping to find out you'd printed this yourself instead of using a service though. Anyone with a current SLA or DLP printer care to speculate how much of this detail you think you'd be losing?
