So I'm using 3ds max and I've always had trouble with the normals looking wonky on my meshes when I bake out the normals from a high poly mesh. I know that the cause of it is from the smoothing groups in the low poly mesh. I usually set the entire mesh to 1 smoothing group or auto smooth, but it doesn't always work. I…
I know it’s hard to pin down a single best practice method for creating models for baking but I was wondering how you like to have your wireframes before taking them to Zbrush, Mudbox, Mari and then exporting them to Xnormal, Maya – Turtle, Floating Geometry baking or whatever it is you use. For example in film we create…
Older versions of Maya supposedly had some issues on Ryzen CPU's, so might be worth looking into getting a newer version of the software. In the meantime you could simply turn off wireframe mode for unselected meshs to gain back some performance.
Hello! For some time after baking from low poly to low poly I've been facing some dashed lines on my model. They are quite prominent on ao and curvature maps; however, there are some artifacts on the normal map too. UVs and wireframe seem to be okay, so I don't get why it's happening. Here are some screenshots.
Check the products page, then wireframes and models. Looks like they're showing off the high-polys of possible in-game assets? Has a movie-game tie-in been announced for the new terminator yet? Developer?
iirc there were plenty of crimes against humanity earlier in your wireframe shots so the observing committee would like to request another shot on the wires to see if conditions have improved in certain areas.
For an environment scene such as the one above would it be prudent to have a wireframe shot to accompany the textured shots? I think it would be a benefit but I'm still new to this and cannot find a clean way of doing it in UDK.
I think that might just be the shadows making it look thinner. The thickness is the same from top the bottom. Here's a wireframe of it in max. Thanks for pointing that out though. Going to add a support light at the top.
Damn that came out well. Love the stitching, really adds a lot of interest. Are you going to do something with her hair though? I'd like to see a wireframe with just the normal map rendered.
Per, I feel cheated. This is the quality you are capable of and look at the shit you've been making for us all along. I'm dissapointed. I mean look at the resolution in that wireframe! it's gorgeous. Enuff said.
