Thanks ! It's probaly something else and not a specular reflection since my material is set to masking (aka alpha test). Therefore what is transparent is fully transparent, there is nothing else. Maybe it's the bloom of even the skeleton behind which look a bit strange ?
Hand painting normals is poor practice in a professional environment - think about what will happen when someone else comes along and rebakes the model later. Building a working cage means your result can be repeated by somebody else if you're not there.
I scaled everything up equally and made the tentacles mirror-able, everything else I had planned to have asymetrical because I sculpted details that way. Looking at it I'm thinking the head is a bit large in comparison to everything else.

The first thing I'd do is block everything out in basic geometry and put it in the game to make sure you have your scale and geometric detail levels worked out. Doing anything else…
Sooo many good entries. If nothing else it made me improve my texturing and workflow. Had lots of fun and learnt a lot. Good luck to everybody else who entered. :)
I have applied all of the changes that both of you have said, if there is anything else please let me know. Also if anyone else has any feedback for this model post!
@Ambarawaa20 Hey, welcome to Polycount. Just noticed this thread got bumped, so I updated my response above in case you or anyone else is still checking for info on UDIM's. They're fairly standard now, much more so then they were 4 years ago when this thread was created.
