I really like the new head sculpt; so what kind of creature is this going to be? Is it going to be some sort of a futuristic human/cyborg thing or what? Sorry if it was already mentioned somewhere here or at the Red Eclipse site, but I didn't see it. Can't wait to see this textured.
Hey bugo, thanks for your reply but sorry i dont get what you mean with "the area " .,. hope you dont mean shift+select .. Can you explan a little more, how you would would select the "inner" faces in the grid.. not the grid itself.
Boy these are really kracken-lacken.... Sorry had to. They are both pretty great, nice materials etc. I think for the woman the skin definition is the only thing I'd work on, right now it reads a bit cartoony to me, with deep hues. Real skin is a bit desaturated and noisy.
As low as it will still look good with the normalmap Sorry, but that really depends on the particular engine and gametype. Anyways, concerning the model you posted: It really is too low poly to be a mesh to calculated the normalmap from, but 18.000 polys seems to be a little excessive even for a UE3 game if it is a ingame…
Alright, thanks. Seems that is how most people do it. Maybe I will practice that a bit. I have a bit of trouble getting the geo for the butt and pelvis to look nice when box modeling also. Any advice for that? Sorry if I am causing you any trouble with this :).
Hello Joopson. Nice to meet you. Sorry for late answer. Recently, I try to focus on the substance painter job. I just modified the blade as you suggested. However, It does not looking good well yet. I will fix more, and upload it as soon as possible. Thanks.
Really cool project! Enjoying the progess :) Sorry, I'm a little late, but concerning the wood texture in the second post. The wood grain appears to be too large of a scale (to me)... I'd tighten that up quite a bit, hopefully that's just adjusting a few things in substance designer for you :)
Oh man if this is an Benchmark for Junior Environment Artist then I think I need to retire and pursue something else in my life :( My portfolio: https://vladislavkaragodin.artstation.com 10 months and not even some type of Art test from any company... Sorry for going Off Topic.
No. Its on the spline mesh. Select the node where you create the spline mesh components, and enable it on that. Like this: If that still won't do it, I'm sorry but yeah this isn't working with spline meshes. In that case, I'm not sure how you should approach this, because this is the standard way otherwise.
i am sorry. i installed Quad cylinder plugin (http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/quad-cylinder). But still the results are the same if i would manually quadrify it. I guess the problem is that i want to curve it at the top. So , it is not a plane face, but like a pillow.
