Ah, sorry I should have been more specific. It was the alpha sorting issue that I was wondering about. Thanks for the help, I've been able to look into it a bit and think I should be able to work around it. At least now I know it isn't specifically the model.
Yuck, Mac. Sorry, my respect for the company dropped to zero with their new advertising Campaign. They're taking the typical idiotic political party stance. It isn't "Buy a Mac because __ ____" it's "Don't buy a PC because ____ ____". BAH! If they can't pimp their own features they don't deserve attention.
this pic is kind of incomprehensible, but its in the same vein. next time, will try and post something with a bit more polish. sorry to whoever doesnt like seeing half-baked inking i like playing with text. : ) hey ranek: i missed your post man! thanks! : )
Hi guys, Sorry for the lack of updates on this thread.I didn't post anything because I was learning UDK materials and Cascade, but lately I managed to finish some textures for the first settlement, finished a new sword that's part of an in game event and added a few lighting elements in the scene.
Hm i would prefer to get the pictures in JPG so it can be watched more easily. I have a noScript addon running which is more secure at work and watching an image shouldn't need me to deactive it. Sorry if i couldn't help you more directly :(
heh, holy smokes, sorry folks. I cant believe i forgot to put up my email address. :) I will look over the PMs and replies in the thread but you can also send links to your portfolios to devin at martianarctic . com thanks! Devin www.martianarctic.com
I'm not dead I swear! Started a new job so time has been limited. Finished the low poly and baked it down. sitting at around 16k tris Finally getting into Ddo (Its super sloppy, sorry Ill hopefully have it more final tomorrow!)
Agreed, and I've raised this point before. If I see a model like that, I actually feel sorry for the guy, instead of focussing how well executed his work is. Instead of spending time sculpting huge tits in ZBrush, go out and get laid for real ffs.
Sorry to hijack the thread a little bit, but this is the first time I've seen anybody bring this up. Ive had terrible experience with compressed lightmaps...I get purples and greens all over the place...any advice on how to fix/limit that without using uncompressed textures?
Yes I do want to do want to do animation. Sorry I didn't give enough background information. I have been involved in game development for the past three years and I have explored every avenue. I want to focus in animation and rigging.
