was messing around this morning and i found a way to replicate the clay brush a bit more closely than the wax brush, using the fill brush with the clay brush alpha at a high intensity (800 in this pic).
There are still some things from the concept art that you can pull onto the buildings tetures, like the roof tiling edge highlights. Just basically replicate what you see one-to-one.
thats a great link Eric I might try making eyes like that in future with max as well so please let us know if it works Brad or if you can replicate it using xoluil
Well geez, it almost looks like the same model/texture. Nice work replicating it. Even the original texture is bland i think you should mabey improve upon it. Texture looks rushed.
Using Jessica Murphy's "Kiara" piece as an example, Her albedo: Her opacity: My attempt utilizing Marmoset's dither shader: As you can tell, the dither shader does not emulate the Sketchfab set up . Is there a way to replicate it?
4R7 has a mesh instancing feature called NanoMesh, I've not tried it yet but it looks similar to MODO's replicators in that you can generate instances over a meshes surface http://youtu.be/NSfyqDWOYG4?t=18m13s
I just process better that way learning the techniques and apply them myself. If I can just replicate the action its no good unless i can find a way to use it in my own workflow
OH!!!! nice. Im thinking it would work like the old network code of opencanvas 1.1. Where is sent vector drawing data with the brush stroke data to another computer to replicate the brushstrokes. Fucking cool.
This theme is so Freaking Sweet! All other contests have been erased from memory... A Dom what now? :D I'm glad it says no replication, forces people to come up with something cool.
Alright, I just decided to continue modelling what i was working on and somehow it worked as per normal after I when back to that specific piece of geometry to cut it. Maybe I'll try replicate the problem...
