"He returned to a 4 year old WIP thread in the ancient temple where the the greatest of the 3D wizards honed their craft for years" Lol 5yrs is that all! I've got a tiger tank been chipping away at for twice that long 😁 Anyhow nice portrait of Eva Green, especially her eyes and like Eric said it's about time she's properly…
We are looking for a animator to do some heavy lifting for the 3D artists on the project. Rotting circuits is the title you'll be working on. It's a open world sandbox survival game set in 2050, think terminator meets the walking dead. What's in it for you: this is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to add to there…
The ones that always seemed to be able to draw might say they have talent for it, the ones that learned how to draw says it's hard work. I have heard people say they where kinda born good drawers, which I look as a bit of bullshit I think they case is rather they did draw at home, draw at school and was slightly better…
Thanks for the replies! @monster - its actually a proprietary engine but does allow for batching. Yes everything is static, no animations. So 10 of the same so long as they all share the same material will be batched. I think I'm good on that part thought it does lead me to another question later. @Eric - Yeah that was the…
Here's what i'm working on at the moment for uni and i'd love some help to make them suck as little as possible. So much room for improvement in them, and so many areas i know i'm bad at, like eyes and cloth, so if you see anything obvious that i'm doing wrong or any tips or tutorials you'd recommend i will be forever…

I'd also advise that art is an iterative process. Planning can save some time but if you don't have lots of experience it's hard to predict how a project will go, and that makes planning less useful. For a student project I'd do as Eric suggests and treat it as if it was a one off asset so at least there's art to look at,…
Hello everyone!! Here’s the latest update on this project. With a few minor changes to the rendering. Thanks for all your comments!! https://youtu.be/31UZStxG954 https://youtu.be/HjhR1Bs5Wng https://youtu.be/0xy7SPLOmgo
@jstins nice! I think a lot depends on game's viewpoint, since mine is top-down there is so much you can get away with and a lot that just doesn't matter at all. For all the hard surface stuff I did the end result is pretty much identical to what I'd achieve with baking, except silhouettes hold up better with all the…
