Wow, thanks for the reply Paul! I've put in a request for them here at Mythic, so hopefully we will get them soon. We are using a facial bone rig similar to yours, along with your Attribute Holder for saving presets and such, so the DVDs would be handy to reference, I'm sure.
yeah im planning to take those ones out, its only because i was mirroring the texture (which is being resized to 256x256. Its to be used as a Hud weapon, so i can take even further polys out soon enough. cheers for all the crit keep it coming!
lolwut? The gamecube controller most definitely did NOT have a screen. I have one right in front of me. I don't think consoles will be dying anytime soon though. That theory comes from some mobile fanboy who needs to get his head out of his apps.
I saw this in video form, since I run XP. Looks amazing though. I was wondering who the artists were behind it. Really stunning work. I cannot wait to learn this tesselation pipeline workflow myself someday soon. Darnit, I need to upgrade to Win 7!
Update: Sorry guys my photobucket is low on band width for the time being but I have my latest shots up on artstation. I'll post the link so you can check it out and as soon as I'm able to ill post back on here. http://www.artstation.com/artwork/chemrail
as much as I would say this CRIES a normal map, the 1024 hand painting you did to this model came out quite well, her lips look a bit narrow but other than that the overall model came out great, I hope to see you do a render of this soon
After two crashes in Maya, I've managed to finish the high poly film canisters thus far. Soon I should be getting the room I'm gonna work on and then I'll make up a quick concept so you all can see what I envision of XOi's room.
With the texturing a very grimey urban feel, something looking similar to brooklyn or so. For the lighting I want to get an intense mist/snow mid nov sort of time. Managed to do wonders with the UDK imports now just for texturing, will hopefully have some more screens up soon.
I didn't actually keep track of how long that took, I'd guess a total of 4 hours :/ . Did a fruit study today! Was a lot of fun, I did this one from a pictures, I'll have to do one from life soon. This one took about 1hr & 45min.
Thanks for the crit! Yeah I guess some of those brush strokes look pretty coarse. As for the Monkey, I'm kind of sick of him..so I'm not fixing him for now. I'm currently working on a new project that I will post some pictures of as soon as I have something presentable.
