Well, no real details on how this is being used makes it difficult enough to give feedback on, and with the stipulations. Whew. Anyway... From the ground up... There's no real foundation, the outer brick just goes straight into the ground. The base could be a thicker, stronger stone that is feather out with weight at the…
Hello everyone, I made more progress over the long weekend. I touched up the wood texture a bit, but decided to put it on hold and paint the brick sculpt I did a few weeks ago. I liked the color variation, but some of it doesn't fit with the original concept art, so I am going to go back and change the blueish grey stones…
really nice piece, here my 2cents - not enough foreground in your final shots, if you compose it better you could sell its artistic and technical merits more. -the atmosphere is just too much leading to a flat feeling peice, try reducing the fog and adding some particle based layered fog maybe -the wear and tear in the…
i'd say that looks like a very nice. the color overlay is a bit too much and might look better if it was restricted only to some stones to get more variation from further away. paint in some darker or lighter values on some stones too so they don't look like they all line up perfectly. the moss could need some highlights…
K, more stone goodness.. I tried to nail consistency with the first one here, but i did something wrong along the way. I think i placed the bricks too far apart from one another, and i didn't get the feeling i was aiming for. Live and learn i guess. Things i kept in mind: nothing is white and nothing is black Stone…
Downloaded and took a look at the Egyptian one and I'm wondering how you keep something like that in your head. It's phenomenally complex. I poured over it for a fair while before I even really began to understand what was going on. I'd love to know more about how a texture this complex grows from the first node to the…
There is no need to have a huge unique texture just because of AO in it. Usually u get it with lighting. With AO in the texture u cannot use that texture for anything else (which is not good in a coomon case). Or if u still want to keep that wall texture layout as it is, u need to add more interesting unique details (more…
Looking pretty fancy so far. I like how you're doing nearly all of the texture work in ZBrush. I plan to do that someday too once my ZBrush and painting skills have improved more. Some quick critiques. The chimney looks pretty rough but judging by the detail in the rest of the house it's just a placeholder. The placement…
Hi, I’m looking for a concept artist who might be interested in helping shape the visual identity of an indie animated series project called CYCLES. CYCLES – Season 1 is a dark sci-fi/fantasy animated series about Aren Solas, a quiet human mechanic who joins a deadly expedition to reach the mysterious Amphitheater, a place…
