No doubt MD is a great soft, most of studios nowadays uses MD, its becoming the part of pipeline, for major studios likes ND(Uncharted 4) , Konami (Metal gear soild 5) and many more.
Heya - I don't mean that no retopo at all is needed. What I mean is that assuming that everything can (or should) be fully zeedbrushed or fully MDeed is a mistake or at least an oversimplification that can cost hours and hours of wasted time. Many parts of a garment can, indeed, be made using good old subdiv modeling. The…
If that's MD, you really need to bulk it out a bit. Look at the pressure and thickness sliders. If you're using the latest MD, you can copy layers and then create two sides, increasing the overall density and thickness of the mesh.
I saw Zeke in Tacoma and we drank MD 20/20 and Nightrain before the show. MD 20/20 is a fighting bum wine but when the Nightrain hits you it will force you to lie down for 15 minutes.
UPDATE I created the cloths in MD and I started playing with XMD brushes. Mastercloth 1, 2 and 3 combined with smooth brush... awesome! I'm going to spend a few days sculpting details (head and hands included). MD Patterns
Simmed shorts in MD and brought them into zbrush for further work. Crosspost from my character worklog thread here: http://polycount.com/discussion/160570/female-character-work-thread-modern-celtic-hero Some progress junk in MD:
Okay, the Space guy I think is really cool, love the patterns and also the pose. It also gives me a chance to create clothing using MD. Here is my planning for the MD clothing pass so far. Please feel free to feedback.
Did you use marvellous designer for the clothing? The folds look weird. If you are using MD you might want to play with the material thickness/stiffness amd pinning to get some convincing results. If you are not using MD I would study fold and fall references.
Wow this is awesome, thanks for the Marvelous Designer pics :D How much time do you think you spent tweaking what you got from MD in zbrush? *Edit* Also, was there any particular resources you referenced while making the cloth in MD ?
