and i bet this will take half a year... our workaround is copy the texture path with ctrl+c, go to photoshop->open image(ctl+o) and paste(ctrl+v).. -

I am not expert to matte, but i think it is sth wrong with the lighting... everything seems to be too bright (given very dark sky), but I'm not really sure tho. -

That's strange. What version of Maya are you using? I tried with 2015 sp5 and 2016, I only get the obj file without mtl after I unchecked that option. -
