nice to see all this progress so much since i last saw it. diffuse is really nice, i have a couple of small crits though. the worn patches on the sofa dont look right, they look like a layer of plain colour over the top of the wood in PS i think it would be nicer to use that layer to desaturate the wood colour in this…
Thats wicked you lucky bastard! I used to post up drawings all over my room, my dad would come in and rip them all down in a rage. He made me hang this painting of a cabin and it was the only thing aloud on the walls in my room. It was the worst painting too... mocking me every day with its pathetic depection of serenety.…
I wrote something like that for TexTools once, but its useless so I removed it. You just have to use your eyes because stats do not always tell you useful things. In TexTools you can quickly render a mask of your UV shells as black and white mask to your clipboard, open it in PS and compare how much black pixels are left…
My experience is kind of weird. I bought a graphire brand new and I hated it; couldn't get used to it. I sold it then saw a 'PenPartner' on eBay. It's an old style tablet, the pre-decessor to the graphire. Its the old version and I still have and love it. Its not USB (serial) but I don't know why, I just prefer it. I think…
Thanks Mark. The problem (off the top of my head) can be that the user may already be skinning vertices to bones in an animated model... so I am leery about automating it. I may do some tests though for a staticprop. That was something Jed suggested. I am still considering it... but I can already think of problems if there…
Converting the hair into a mesh sounds nice but practically it is unusable. To get a really nice result you really need a very high amount of hair (say 30000 for a whole hairstyle). Max is not able to do that. The highest amount for me was like 5k. Take him as an example: See close hair. If the hair was lose than it could…
thank you both. honestly im glad to hear that kind of reaction, only because i didnt let any of my nonsense affect the product, im proud in some ways. BUT, i do realize the texture needs work. i feel a discrepency in the cloth area, and i also wish the skin had more impact. Im unsure whether i should have some geometry in…
StevenEgan: hey! yeah i was back on psionic's forums way back when ;) . i've posted here quite regularly, but i'm kind of a slacker as well :) . what was your username there? Neox: thanks a lot for helping me!! neox helped me through skype, explaining about the annoying pole on her cheek and he also fixed some other stuff…
But have you tried swap from Direct 3D to Open GL?I mean just to see so nothing has happen with direct 3d ?Also swap between DX8 and 9? This doesnt happen in any other applications?like games for an example? I also assume you have Servicepack 1 and 2 installed for 3ds max 9?…
Nice clean site, good layout. I would remove the old clock and garage pillar as they just don't match the texture quality seen in your other assets. Also I would put the building as the first link as this is the most impressive. The actual presentation of the models could be alot cleaner, adding some subtle greyscale…
