Hi @jenna_dean I fixed those tiles a bit but didn't upload fixed version here. Instead it can be seen from my artstation site: https://www.artstation.com/anttiarvola @Eisenhorn thanks for the tip! That might work, maybe I should try this out. @pixelpatron I was going to add badge like that there but then I just wanted to…
Hi pixelpatron, Thanks for the reply! You're damn right ! I had too much topology on my model... Well, I made some automatic optimizations, and projections, and here : I have a 2k polygons model now... I think I pushed the mesh optim a little bit too much, but here is the result :
Guess I misread your post. If it worked fine earlier, then you could try testing combinations of PixelShade, RenderBoost or Antialising options in the Preferences window. Start with disabling Antialising. It is also a good idea to check how much memory Topogun is consuming.
Here you go PixelMasher! :) Btw.. I'm working on the lowpoly now, and I'm wondering on how to go about making the spring? Just a cylinder? Won't that result in strange normals? *puzzled*
Sorry for late response, I had to make a small recovery after this project. I am not sure what is happening here :) Thank you all for nice words! :) In fact, I'm just starting with game modelling and I made this with hope to get my first game dev job. @BarbaraWitkowska I started those acants in Max with smooth geometry…
Shouldn't this be in P&P since its kind of a WIP thread? Anywho awesome idea combining Enviro art with Character art. It fits into the less clicks portfolio approach. You said you wanted the focal point to be the characters so I think the "stage" should be well done, but nothing too flashy. I would go for a dirty…
@Seaseme: Hey Seaseme, im currently not using any game engines :) there render out of Max. @PixelMasher: Thanks man ! i've really improved my texturing skills over the past few months @Minotaur0: Thanks ! (and there only gonna get better over time :P) @warby: thanks :) @dejawolf: lol ! @carlo_c: thanks bro ! @misterboogie:…
Thanks Vic, I've played enough Crysis to remember how most of it looks but I might pop it back in (need to anyway for Cry Engine 2) and romp around a bit. BTW, how's the job? PixelMasher, the texture on the ruin is a 1024 map. Textures have actually been my enemy on this piece so far. I'm thinking that I might run back…
