renderhjs, i haven't made anything for a while that i can show because i haven't attempted this in a while. a few weeks ago i tried making some, but became frustrated that i couldn't. i am now needing advice and a good technique before i start back up. EricChadwick, i'm looking at handpainting photoreal tree limb textures…
Ahh, thanks guys! What Fordy and EricChadwick said is what I was looking for. That's actually the first place I looked, but all I did was click "Set Defaults", and just saw a list of things that seemed unrelated, so I closed it - if I'd just clicked once more I'd have found what I was looking for!
Thanks everyone for taking the time to try and help me :) EricChadwick: Yeah, bit of a bad title, about the modo smoothing link thats what i have tried. MightyPea: Will post it soon :) PredatorGSR: I forgot to add that i use xNormal, since modo does not support cages.
Hey thanks for all the replies guys, I really appreciate it. Yeah, I figured it depended so much on the shader and engine that it would be difficult to find a straight answer. MattQ86: Thanks man, should have been the obvious place to look. ericdigital: yeah, I was thinking about doing this. I'm just curious, do you mean the low-poly challenge section, or just P&P in general?
@erichWK: I know I have been trying to straighten those uvs out but they always comes out badly I really want to fix that map it is at the moment very inefficient. Do you or anyone else know of anyways I could properly unwrap that piece any help would be AWESOME! :)
My boss had a huge case of carpal tunnel when he was younger, he said he had to pretty much stop doing any programming for about 6 months. He said it was because he used to type in such weird and awkward positions. I think the most important thing is having a chair with an arm rest so your elbow is at the same height as…
